Establishment
of the Association of border towns of Serbia and Bulgaria - EURO
Region:
In
October the NGO Forum for Civil Rights is organising a conference
on Bulgarian–Serbian border cooperation in partnership with the
Bulgarian NGO Iris, as a response to the conference held in
Bulgaria in June. The conference will take place in Niska Banja
from 25 to 27 October.
The
conference topics are:
- The
role of local authoroties in the development of infrastructue
projects
- The
relationship NGO – local authorities in promoting
cross-border cooperation
The
lecturers are Vladan Jeremic (the Timok Club) and Miomir Pesic
(representative of the city of Nis).
There
was also a forum in October, titled: "The role and importance
of NGOs for the development of the local community". The
lecturer was Slavisa Kovacevic, Assistant Professor at Nis Law
School.
Towards
the end of October there was a radio and a TV broadcast on RTV5,
Nis, with the topic: "Presenting the project – Promotion of
pluralism by strengthening NGOs and the civil society in
Serbia". The lecturer was Prof. Dr. Dragan Corbic, Professor
at Nis Law School.
